Ok, so far we have reviewed Redbarn's Bully Nuggets, Lamb Ears, Choppers, and now we have something that combines two of these treats together.

When you combine Bully Nuggets and Lamb Ears together (minus the beef lung) you get something called Woolly Bullies! These are the same high-quality Redbarn Lamb Ears combined with their signature bull pizzle sauce. Yummy!

The Chesnut Mutts Dr. Harvey's Oracle Dog Food Review and Giveaway

Raw and homemade dog foods are becoming quickly becoming a trend in the dog food industry. For me, my main qualms with switching to this kind of food is messing up the ratios somehow with my dog ending up lacking the right amount of nutrients, and how long it takes to prepare can be an issue. I know if I put my mind to it I could probably conquer raw and homemade foods, but right now let's take it one step at a time.

A company that is known for it's homemade dog food mixes is Dr. Harvey's. We learned about them in a BlogPaws Chat on Twitter and won some of their treats (which my girls loved!) We also met them at the BlogPaws convention and Delmar told them how much he loved their Coconut Smiles treats.

Mini Review: Dr. Buzby's ToeGrips

Thanks, Dr. Buzby's ToeGrips for helping Jake out! I know it is a bit hard to tell, but Jake has more of a pep in his step!

Arthritis in his back legs make it hard for him to get up and around (he is having one of his good days in the video), but I saw an immediate difference once I put the ToeGrips on him. It was really easy to put on and Jake seemed really happy after he realized he could walk easier.

Check out www.toegrips.com for more info on this cool product!

We were contacted by Michelle Huntting to see if we would want to attend her new online dog training class called "The Zen Dog". I was very eager and so far we have attended the first two weeks and have two more to go. Jada and Bailey have learned so much and seem to have better manners overall.

Chews are probably the absolute favorite type of treat ever according to a dog. There are many different types to choose from, but they are usually either some kind of bone or rawhide. Chews that are byproducts of the meat industry are sometimes seen as controversial, but to me I say why waste it? Ears, feet, tails, snouts, you name it.

Needless to say, dogs love them and they play an important role as a boredom breaker, a treat, or just because! When you are looking for a chew you want to buy from a reputable brand. Jones Natural Chews specializes in making natural dog chews and have roots in meat cutting and butchering. Jones Natural Chews started in the 80's- you know if a company has been around for a while they must be doing something good. So let's find out!

Mini Review: The Honest Kitchen Sparkle Bar

After a dip in the lake, a bath is in order!

We used The Honest Kitchen's Sparkle Bar solid shampoo for dogs to get them super clean.

The kind we used is the diatomaceous earth, calendula, comfrey & aloe which is supposed to help with itchy skin. The smell is wonderful and earthy and lathered up real nicely on the girls.

What's cool is that the bar lasts for about 18 baths for a 30 lb dog!

I would recommend this if you are looking for a soothing dog shampoo without oatmeal. Jada is allergic to oats, so this is a great option! Good job THK!!

The Sparkle Bar isn't available anymore, but you can find The Honest Kitchen products on Amazon.

Review & Giveaway: Purrfectplay

The Chesnut Mutts Purrfect Play Review and Giveaway

How do you pick a toy for your dog? Size? Shape? Durability? Material? Color? Tuggable? Squeaky? After a couple of years with your dog hopefully you will figure out what kind of toy is suitable for your dog. For example, Jada has to have very durable squeaky toys while Bailey is pretty much fine with anything, but something on the more durable side is better. Also, for Jada I try to stay away from plastic because it could cause an allergic flare-up (according to her ImmuneIQ report).

Some people are trying to go the more natural route with toys- using upcycled, wool, or hemp materials free of dyes and plastics. I am totally behind this, especially how often these toys are inside our pup's mouths and sometimes, but hopingly not, ingested.

If you are looking for a great online shop that provides these types of items, look no further than Purrfectplay!
