Have you ever bought dog cookies or biscuits before and they just didn't have that homemade flair? Or maybe you made some dog treats and your dog turned his nose at them? It's hard to find dog cookies that look homemade and are delicious to your pup, but one company has managed to find the perfect combination: Paws Barkery!

We learned about Paws Barkery back at BlogPaws where we received a sample of their 3 recipes in our swag bag. One thing that stood out to me was their natural ingredients and wonderful aroma.

Candice Conway, the owner of Paws Barkery, sent us bags of all three of the recipes to try out and review: NutterBites™, Cookie's Kisses™, and BowWow Snickerdoodles™.

Let's start by opening up a bag of NutterBites...

NutterBites

Whole wheat flour, wheat flour, peanut butter, low fat milk, water...

When you open up these dog cookies you will get the hankerin' for some peanut butter! These U.S.A made treats have great ingredients which remind me of a lot of the ingredients used when you make dog treats at home. I used to make peanut butter treats, but they never came out as good as these.

NutterBites are crunchy and irresistible! The whole pack wanted to try some and kept asking for more :).

Let's see what is next in the lineup...
a bag of Paws Barkery Cookie's Kisses Vanilla and Carob dog treats

wheat flour, canola oil, honey, egg, carob, baking soda, vanilla

Cookie's Kisses! Aren't these cute? I love the heart shape and, of course, they smell just delicious. Only 7 ingredients as well, yay! If anyone is wondering what carob is, it is a pea plant where they dry the pod and it tastes sort of like chocolate. What is cool is that it is safe for dogs!

The dogs, of course, loved these and asked for seconds, thirds, etc. These are a bit softer than the crunchy peanut butter bones, because who wants a crunchy kiss anyways? Hehe.

Now on to our last yummy treat!
Bow Wow Snicker Doodles Honey and Cinnamon Dog treat

Wheat flour, honey, vegetable fat, egg...

Okay, who out there is addicted to spice cookies? Me! Wouldn't you love to share some with your doggie pal? How about some Bow Wow Snickerdoodles?! These are a honey and cinnamon dog cookie that I am sure they will enjoy!

I think this was the Mutt's favorite and mine too since it reminds me of the holidays coming up. The smell alone makes me go Bow Wow WOW!

In a Nutshell...
  • Paws Barkery makes dog treats in the U.S.A. from natural ingredients
  • They have three recipes: NutterBites, Cookie's Kisses, and Bow Wow Snickerdoodles
  • All of them are free of preservatives, soy, corn, and artificial flavors and colors
  • You can search for a supplier here, buy them on their website, and even find them in our Amazon store

I love these treats! They are just like homemade dog cookies and they smell so wonderful. I didn't get any turned up noses from the dogs (even Bailey went right for them) and they seem to be quite addicting. For some reason, I can see these being a great gift for a friend with a dog or two. I mean, who wouldn't want some yummy dog cookies?!
