Review: Using OUT!® Potty Pads in a Multi-Pet Home

Review: Using OUT!® Potty Pads in a Multi-Pet Home

The Chesnut Mutts were compensated in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are genuinely mine and we would not share a product that we did not fully believe in. Please do not use any image without permission. This post also contains affiliate links.

Potty pads are surprisingly useful. You can use them inside for your pet to use while you are away, an absorbable liner for trips in the crate, even as a backup under your cat's litter pan liner. I'm here to introduce you to an affordable brand of dog potty pad that I have seen, but never tried before today. Introducing, OUT!®

OUT!® is all about providing pet parents with effective products while still being affordable. They have many different products like poop bags, sprays, shampoos, diapers, and of course potty pads. I was contacted to try out their new and improved Odor Control Quilted Dog Pads and their Heavy Duty Quilted Dog Pads. We don't normally use potty pads at my home since my dogs are constantly in and out on our property, but we do use them occasionally if we are gone for long periods of time.

These are OUT!'s Odor Control Pads which have 5 layers to absorb and trap urine and odors. All OUT! pads are made in the U.S.A. and feature an attractant which helps your pet identify the pads as a place to relieve themselves. Of course, if you are lucky this is all you need to train your dog to do their business on pads, but you will most likely have to do some basic potty training as well.

So the difference between the Odor Control pads and the Heavy Duty pads are that the top and bottom sheet are thicker and stronger which prevents shredding.

Dottie and OUT! Quilted Dog Potty Pads

So, to test out these two pads I set them both out to see if we could get any takers. I know Bailey and Dottie will sometimes use potty pads, but little did I know, we have another pet who uses them too!

Someone had been using the pads and then trying the cover them up. the scratching and pawing did not tear the pads, so yes, they are strong! We set up a game camera and caught Smooshie doing her business. What is the deal, Smoosh? There is a litter box right there. Whatever, at least you helped with the review! ;)

using OUT! Quilted Dog Potty Pads with a cat box

Speaking of cats, I started using one of the odor control pad under the cat litter liner and a heavy duty pad under the box itself. This was actually a super awesome idea! Worked like a charm when the liner would fail and leak into the box. This made clean up a lot quicker.

Some other interesting ideas for potty pads is to use them when you are transporting your pet. Whether it is in the car or in a crate using a pad will help with any accidents that may happen.

So when it comes to using it on the dogs I got kind of iffy results. Sometimes I did get some leakage underneath the pad- mostly the odor control ones. I had a friend who regularly uses potty pads try them out as well and got the same results.

Jada and OUT! Quilted Dog Potty Pads

In a Nutshell...
  • OUT! has many pet care products like sprays, shampoos, diapers, and potty pads
  • There is a variety of U.S.A. made quilted potty pads such as Odor Control and Heavy Duty
  • These pads have many layers to absorb urine and also an attractant to help your pup know where to go
  • You can find these pads at Amazon.com: OUT! Odor Control Quilted Dog Pads OUT! Heavy Duty Quilted Dog Pads

So all-in-all we did have some leaks with these pads and the difference between the Odor Control and the Heavy Duty is so minimal that I had trouble differing between the two once they were on the floor. Using these for the cat litter box was really useful and if you just need something for car rides or vet visits, OUT! dog pads would be useful for those purposes.
