With the holidays approaching things can get really hectic and stressful, but it is important to relax and enjoy time with your family and that of course includes your pets! I wanted to share some of the fun activities that we do with our dogs to get in the spirit of Christmas. This year we are including BLUE™ Santa Snacks into our festivities!

Haven't read our first post about Santa Snacks? Check it out here: http://bit.ly/SantaSnacksTCM

Make Ornaments

Jada's paw print ornament. Did you know that her paw is on our logo? :)

A few years ago we made paw print ornaments with a little kit we found at the store. It was really easy and I love putting these on the tree every year. Making ornaments is a fun way to make memories! And don't forget to reward your dog for participating by giving them a Santa Snack - These treats are made with oat and cinnamon and smell amazing!

Pick out the Tree

Jada is very happy
"Wow, A live tree in the house! Can I eat it?"

If you are into real Christmas trees, then take your dog to the tree lot with you if possible! Your dog will appreciate the fresh air and socialization is always good. Just make sure that the lot owner is okay with your pup being around and of course, bring treats like Santa Snacks with you! Just like real Christmas trees, Santa Snacks are made with natural ingredients but these snacks are actually healthy for your dog to munch on!

Stuff the Stockings

"Are you done with the picture yet, Mama? I wanna dig in!"

Does your dog have their own stocking? We have a stocking for both Jada and Bailey with their name written on the top with glitter glue. For Christmas morning, I like to put treats, toys, and anything else small in each one. It is so much fun seeing a happy dog playing with new toys! The Blue Buffalo Santa Snacks are a perfect size for a doggy stocking stuffer and your pup will really enjoy them! BLUE Santa Stew is also a great gift which is canned food made with turkey, cranberries, sweet potatoes, and green beans.

Take Pictures for Cards

Bailey with a BLUE Santa Snack
"No matter how good the treat is, I'm still not smiling..."

We also sent out some Christmas cards this year featuring Jada, Bailey, Delmar, and Everett. I usually take some kind of picture every year as a tradition, but this is the first time we sent out cards. If I can make someone smile or laugh with our card then I'm happy! Santa Snacks are a great incentive (and also grain-free) to keep your pup looking at the camera while you snap the perfect shot.

Give Gifts to Guests

"I will only share if you promise to save some for me!"

This year we are also hosting a family get-together at our home. We have told people that pets are welcome (as long as they are house trained) and my room will be a nice quiet place for them to relax. I plan to have Santa Snacks on hand for our furry guests and even some Santa Stew if they are interested. Both products are limited edition and only around during the holidays, so I'm excited to share my stash with our doggy friends.

So, how do you incorporate your dog or other pets into your holiday celebrations?
