Review & Giveaway: Purrfectplay Valentine's Day Box for Cats

Review & Giveaway: Purrfectplay Valentine's Day Box for Cats

So here at The Chesnut Mutt household we have three cats- so yes that is 5 dogs, 3 cats, 2 rats, 1 aquatic snail, and a betta fish. One of our favorite pet toy companies told me that our cats "need more stuff" and I couldn't agree more. Let's show our appreciation for our felines this Valentine's Day with a box of goodies just for them from Purrfectplay!

We have reviewed Purrfectplay once before (check out that post here) and this company actually started because of cat toys. They had trouble finding toys that were natural and organic so they designed and made them right here in the U.S.A. We want the best for our pets and synthetic dyed toys from China just don't cut it!

Purrfectplay Valentine's Day Box for Cats full of cat toys

So for Valentine's Day, Purrfectplay has something special in store for that special kitty in your life: a Valentine's Day Gift Box for Cats. This box comes with 3 toys- a brown organic catnip mouse and two organic wool dust bunnies. Let's take a look at what comes in this gift box...

Brown Organic Catnip Mouse

This catnip toy is Purrfectplay's first cat toy! 4 inches long and filled with 1/2 cup of certified organic catnip- let me tell you this is the good stuff!

This catnip has no fillers and as soon as I opened the box I could smell its potency. Its effects were instantaneous and Mr. Kitty and Shipoopi had a blast.

The tail of the mouse is made out of organic wool and the body of the mouse is also super durable because of its organic cotton lining. Did you know that the toy isn't artificially dyed? The brown color is actually naturally from cotton blooms. Beautiful!

 Organic Wool Dust Bunnies

"Come back here!"
These are handmade wool balls that are so much fun for your kitty! No catnip here (I think the mouse's catnip rubbed off a bit on these), but these are perfect to bat around.

We were given two color- white and gray and they are around an inch in diameter (can vary since they are handmade) Don't worry about getting cat hair stuck in these either, since the pasture-raised organic wool can be washed.

The cats loved these and had such a fun time. Perfect size to pounce and mouth! Just be careful if you have a large dog who likes to steal cat toys since these can be a choking hazard.

I absolutely love Purrfectplay. They are one of the few pet toy brands what actually care what is going into your pet's mouth! Even if they aren't ingesting the toy, you never know what kind of chemicals or dyes are leaching out. On another note, I was honestly surprised when my cats took to the toys right away. I haven't seen Shipoopi play with toys in who knows how long, and Mr. Kitty only plays in spurts at night time.

So spoil your kitty this Valentine's Day with some 'purrfect'ly lovely toys!

  6. We have three cats and they all love catnip - but also each react differently to it. My old boy, Koneko, just gets all cuddly and loving. My Moko, who is the sweetest cat I've ever known, can get rather mean when she has catnip. Our youngest, is already very energetic, but gets even more so with catnip.
