Many dog food brands are realizing that some ingredients are causing allergy and food sensitivities in our beloved companions. No one wants an itchy, gassy, or miserable dog! Thankfully there is a quality brand out there who has many diets to choose from which have limited ingredients to reduce the chance of your dog reacting negatively towards it. Introducing Natural Balance® L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets®!

Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance Pet Foods, Inc.

Natural Balance has been around since 1989 and has been providing pet parents with many high-quality pet food formulas for both dogs and cats. This California-based company makes premium food that is balanced and all of their products are backed by a Buy with Confidence guarantee that ensures pets' health and safety. Another interesting fact is that Natural Balance has a customer support team full of people with nutrition and veterinary degrees to help you find the best product for your pet considering any health concerns.

We headed out to PetSmart® to learn more about Natural Balance's Limited Ingredient pet food.

"Hurry up, Mama! We are ready to sniff out some yummy food!"

L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets from Natural Balance comes in dry food, canned food, and treats so your dog or cat can enjoy the finer things in life without worrying that allergies are gonna get in the way.

There are unique and high-quality proteins like bison, rabbit, venison, and even Wagyu beef! (Wagyu is the most tastiest beef in the world!) And each diet is truly limited with a single source animal protein and limited carbohydrate sources. Also, these food products help keep your pet's coat and skin healthy with balanced Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. What I love is their Buy with Confidence guarantee -  every production run is tested for safety and quality in Natural Balance's state of the art laboratory in Burbank, CA.

"Wagyu?! More like Wow-gyu!"
We decided to take home to Duck and Potato diet to try out because duck is Bailey's favorite protein! Now I know that Jada has some food allergies, but I am not sure about Bailey. I keep her on a limited ingredient diet as more of a prevention measure because over time she could become sensitive to certain foods and because Natural Balance has many great diets to choose from I know there will always be something she could try out.

"I'm special, right Mama?"

Natural Balance's product tagline is "Food with Substance for Pets with Character™" and I love this because as pet parents we truly see our dogs as unique individuals and I am glad they recognize that. Anyone who knows my dogs or even sees photos understands just how unique they are!

  3. We totally try to limit what ingredients go into our Wyatt's food at one time, but we do rotate quite a bit. That's a great reason to try this Natural Balance line, I love all the choices for keeping his mealtimes varied. Thanks for letting us know about it!

  6. We were fans of Natural Balance LID a long time ago, it was the first food that I didn't have an allergic reaction to. And yes, I think they were the first ones to develop an LID and now the rest follow. Love Dolly
