Ticks. These bloodsucking creatures are no good in the pet world (unless you keep pet ticks. If that's the case that is pretty cool.) and can cause the transmission of diseases such as Lyme disease. If you are like me and live in a rural area surrounded by trees and deer (and also a forester for a dad) you probably have seen a few attached to your dog or even on yourself. So what's the best way to remove these suckers? We have the answer for you: TickEase®!

Ear issues have been a common occurrence with Miss Jada ever since she was little. The culprit for her is allergies and thankfully we have them mostly under control, but daily care is needed. At night, I drown her ear canals with alcohol to prevent any more infections, but after baths, I like to use something a little more gentle. Let's look at a great companion to our previous review of BVH Pet Care Premium Shampoo and Conditioner by looking at BVH Pet Care Premium Dog Ear Cleaner!

Bathing your dog is something all pet parents have to do eventually and it is important that you use the right product. Human shampoo is harmful to their skin because it is not pH balanced and can really dry it out. I remember one time Dottie had terrible dandruff and I asked my stepmom what she used for her bath and it turns out she had used some shampoo for people. Bad idea! We have a great natural dog shampoo and conditioner to share with you today from BVH Pet Care.

Mini Review: The Honest Kitchen Sparkle Bar

Mini Review: The Honest Kitchen Sparkle Bar

The Chesnut Mutts' were given the product in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are genuinely ours and we would not share a product that we did not fully believe in. Please do not use any image without permission. Post also contains affiliate links.

After a dip in the lake, a bath is in order!

We used The Honest Kitchen's Sparkle Bar solid shampoo for dogs to get them super clean.

The kind we used is the diatomaceous earth, calendula, comfrey & aloe which is supposed to help with itchy skin. The smell is wonderful and earthy and lathered up real nicely on the girls.

What's cool is that the bar lasts for about 18 baths for a 30 lb dog!

I would recommend this if you are looking for a soothing dog shampoo without oatmeal. Jada is allergic to oats, so this is a great option! Good job THK!!

The Sparkle Bar isn't available anymore, but you can find The Honest Kitchen products on Amazon.

Also, check out our review for The Honest Kitchen's Dog Food!
